Goalkeeper Rhys Williams has signed for Colchester United's development squad.
The Wales youth international has penned a one-year development contract at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, after impressing during a trial.
Williams, who played in Colchester's 2-0 under-23 win over Charlton Athletic in the Professional Development League Two this afternoon, started his career at Bolton Wanderers.
He has also spent time at Bury and Carlisle United, where he completed his scholarship last season.
