ALI Carter is out of this year's snooker World Championship.
The Colchester-born potter, who grew up in Tiptree, was defeated 13-5 in his second-round match against Australian Neil Robertson.
Robertson ended with a break of 145 - the highest of the tournament so far - to set up a quarter-final against Barry Hawkins.
