The V Festival often has a knack of throwing up wonderful little gems from time to time.

Today it is quirky indie new kid about town, Jim Noir.

Anyone who has a copy of his delightful debut album Tower of Love will be wondering, as was I, how he would be able to transfer it to a live stage.

With the help of a fabulous backing group actually quite easily.

To be fair although the numbers were by Jim the set was most definitely by the whole group adding delicious harmonies as well as intricate electro riffs.

Starting their very short time on stage they started with the two best known numbers, Key of C and Eanie Meany, which got the crowd enthusiastically behind them straight away.

Just a few numbers after that and the group were into a very jolly finale in My Patch, which included an electric ukelele.

Despite their early start and their place on the new bands stage I don't think it will be too long before Mr Noir and his chums will be back, later and on a much larger stage.
