WHAT a night New Year's Eve turned out to be.
My evening kicked off with an exclusive fancy dress theme party at Greenlands, aka the Vodka Bar, in St John's Street, Colchester.
And exclusive it was!
Limited to about 80 guests, the night saw plenty of colourful characters such as Superman, Mr Incredible, Sylvester and Tweety turn out for the event.
The bar had a great atmosphere and there was plenty of seating, both inside and out, for customers to sit back and indulge in a few drinks.
If you are wondering why the bar is better known as the Vodka Bar – it could have something to do with the extensive variety of vodka shots, drinks and cocktails on offer.
The vodka bar was the perfect place to start the night and I'd definitely recommend you experience it.
Next I went on to the main event, Route's black and white ball, where I saw the New Year in - and Route didn't disappoint!
The club's main room was buzzing with clubbing enthusiasts and the dancefloor was packed.
Once the New Year arrived the atmosphere was even more electric as Route opened room two, giving clubbers even more choice of music to dance to.
If you've never been to Route, you really should check it out.
Its two rooms offer an eclectic mix of music, there is ample dance space on and off the dancefloor and the four bars can cater for your needs.
All in all my New Year started off with a bang.
Stay tuned to see Ware it's At in 2008.
