A project is underway to build a new electric vehicle charging area outside of Stansted Airport, which also includes a Burger King and Caffè Nero.

The site, which is along Thremhall Avenue, will be the home to a number of new electric vehicle rapid chargers, which will be able to charge at up to 150 kW. This means that an average electric car could charge fully in under 30 minutes at one of these chargers, according to Pod Point.

While customers wait for their car to charge, they will be able to purchase food and drink from the Burger King and Caffè Nero on site. The Burger King has already finished construction and is currently open, while the Caffè Nero is expected to be fully built by mid-May.
