A woman has been charged in connection with an assault in Colchester, as Essex Police are continuing their investigations. 

Officers were called to an incident at 11.05am on Saturday, April 13 at the junction of St John’s Walk and Abbeygate Street, where a man sustained injuries to his stomach and head. 

The man was taken to hospital by paramedics and a woman was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. 

Bibi Stone, 38, of Ship Warf in Colchester was charged with causing grievous bodily harm, burglary and criminal damage.

Stone will appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court today, April 15. 

According to a spokesman of Essex Police, the authority is continuing their enquiries and still wants to speak to Alex Potter, 32, in connection with this incident.

He has short dark hair and stubble and has connections to Colchester. 

The spokesman said: “If you see Alex, please do not approach him and call 999. Quote incident number 470 of 13 April.
