A POPULAR comedian who is well-known for appearing on Mock The Week is heading to Colchester as part of his UK tour.
Stand-up Andy Parsons is bringing his new show to the Mercury Theatre, in Balkerne Gate, on March 28.
Following a sell-out run of shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, the writer and comic will now embark on the Andy Parsons: Bafflingly Optimistic tour, taking it across the country.
The funny man is known for being a regular panellist on Mock The Week, and has appeared in Live At The Apollo, QUI, and has won numerous awards for his work.
Andy has explained some of the themes audiences can expect from his forthcoming headline show.
He said: “There are lots of different strands.
“It's partly about parenting and what kids need to understand about the world.
“The world has slightly gone t*ts up recently and our politics has gone the same way over the last 12 months as well.
“So it's marrying that to having an 11-year-old son and seeing the world a bit through their eyes in terms of prospects going forward.
“Whether it's to do with houses or jobs or being able to work in Europe.”
Tickets cost £19 and doors open at 7pm.
