A MAN was arrested after fears were raised about a suspected firearm on an industrial estate.
Police officers were called to Severalls Industrial Estate in Colchester on Monday afternoon to reports of a suspected firearm.
A man was arrested in the Abbey Field area of the city later that day.
Essex Police said: “We were called to reports of what appeared to be a firearm seen in Brunel Way, Colchester, at about 2.30pm on Monday, December 4.
“A man was arrested in Ypres Road, Colchester, later that day on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm, criminal damage, assault and harassment.
“He has been bailed until February 5, 2024. Our investigation is ongoing and inquiries continue.”
