A TELEVISION presenter has thanked generous estate agents for raising thousands of pounds for a lifesaving charity.
More than 200 staff from Essex property group Beresfords, which has a branch in Colchester, got dressed to the nines for the firm’s annual fundraising dinner last week in aid of Essex and Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT).
Lisa Snowdon, an EHAAT ambassador, gave a speech at the event, which was held at the Greenwood Hotel and Spa in Stock.
Almost £15,000 was donated to EHAAT after the fundraiser.
Speaking after the event, TV and radio star Lisa thanked the company for supporting the charity, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
“I would really encourage you to find out more about this amazing local charity, the new helicopter plans and how you can get involved and help make it happen. They can’t fly without you,” she added.
Beresfords has raised £90,000 for the Earls Colne-based charity over the past decade.
EHAAT chief executive Jane Gurney said: “Their dedication and the funds they have raised have been instrumental in our mission to providing life-saving services to the communities we serve.”
On average, EHAAT responds to six medical emergencies a day either by helicopter or rapid response vehicle.
