A HOUSING company has applied to block an alleyway with a fence in order to stop anti-social behaviour blighting properties.
Oakbourne Management Company Ltd wants to take the action in the route between John Castle Way and Bourne Court, Colchester.
It stated people dealing drugs, trespassing and being threatening to passers-by in the alleyway is causing misery to its residents.
The John Castle Way estate is privately managed by Oakbourne.
In its application, the firm wrote: “A minor diversion has been created which should have minimal effect on a small minority of people.”
Colchester Council has the final say.
