Part of the Orwell Bridge is currently blocked after a lorry and car crashed.
Police were called to the westbound carriageway at about 10.30am on Wednesday.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said the road is currently blocked.
Pictures from the A14 Traffic Cameras show traffic in the westbound carriageway being stopped by police.
The extent of any injuries is not yet clear.
According to the AA Traffic Map there are lengthy delays in the area.
