A CHARITY event to be held in Wivenhoe hopes to raise funds for Turkey and Syria, following the natural disaster which reaped havoc on both countries.
At the charity event, several renowned local bands will perform hoping to raise vital funds in humanitarian aid for both countries.
The event will be run by volunteers, with all bands playing for free.
Wivenhoe Town Council has allowed the use of the hall for free, to ensure all money raised will go towards charity.
A fully licensed bar and performances from several bands will ensure the night is a success raising vital funds for both nations.
On the evening, visitors can enjoy performances from Simon Craze, a solo guitarist and singer, The Gin Twins, Drift, a blues and rock cover group, Hobo Chang, 33 RPM, a 70s and 80s Punk and new wave cover band and The Spiderz Band, a David Bowie tribute band.
Funds raised from the evening will be distributed between the Disasters Emergency Committee and the White Helmets Syria appeal.
The event will be held at the William Loveless Hall in Wivenhoe, on Saturday, April 22, from 5pm until midnight. For more information on the event, visit bit.ly/3UIfolt.
