Living in fear is one of the worst things for anyone to experience. And that for instance being the 'headscarf'. A piece of fabric, causing many deaths, attacks, pain, isolation towards those who simply choose to veil themselves. Why is it shown to be so frightening towards some members of the public? Many muslim women find it extremely difficult to wear it and would wear it solely for the purpose of their faith, however are very hesitant in doing so, due to fear that they may be attacked or abused verbally by some minorities of the public.

Some people compare the veil in relation to terrorism but this is a false accusation as they truly do not understand the definitions behind the veil and it's importance to women. Another example is that word can be spread rapidly causing many people to build up unwanted fear from just being clueless.

As a MUSLIM, you wouldn't feel this way as much as you would be more knowledgable on the topic, due to you practicing the religion. People are less likely to feel hostile, when they find out the beautiful and empowering denotations behind it all.

The mind is powerful and you can choose how you'd like to see things because you ARE in control, similarly to how a woman can choose to veil herself because she IS in control. Covering up parts of your body should not be seen to be offensive, nor bothersome. But instead to be seen as a choice made by that person. Your conscience is in your hands, unless you'd like it to be in the hands of a random stranger who only chooses their mind over their heart.

Overall, if interested by any means it would be strongly advised to do your research and speak to people who are knowledgable in a wise manner - in order to find your answers.
