AN all-new vintage shop hopes to bring a flare of vibrant and sustainable fashion to the city, whilst offering individuality and promoting independent shopping.

Running a store is nothing new to Liz Cardy, who ran Kitsch Bitch, a club wear store, located in Wilkinson’s during the 90s.

Her new store, Easy Tiger, hopes to inspire more independent shopping in the city.

The shop is located on the Scheregate Steps and has rails bulging with articles of clothing from different eras including both men’s and women's wear.

Liz is also in the process of bringing in vintage children’s wear.

The store aims to dispel the myth that vintage clothing is only small, stocking inclusive sizes.

Liz hopes the introduction of more independent shops can benefit the city. She said: “It puts Colchester more on the map. We have lost a lot of independent shops over the years.

“People come in and they are happy to see something independent. I want the shop to be interesting for tourists and citizens.

“The clothes are ethically sourced and good for the environment.

"Shops like this help to build the city’s identity, we can all do our bit to help independent shopping.”
