ST OSYTH’S Gilbey family are set to return to smash-hit TV show Gogglebox.

The family are returning to the Bafta-winning Channel 4 show after getting the boot in 2014 when son George appeared on Celebrity Big Brother.

Now George, mum Linda and dad Pete have been invited back on for the seventh series, which starts on February 19.

Linda said: “We’re all so thrilled to be back on Gogglebox and just hope we make everybody laugh.

“We have missed it – we never thought we would be invited back on.

“We don’t know why they did. But we do have some fans and they said they missed us – we have met so many lovely people.

“We have also been able to do so much for charity since being on the show. We’re all over the moon to be back on.”

The trio became household names as armchair TV critics, being filmed each week watching the box from their famous sofa. George was then invited to take part in Channel 5’s Celebrity Big Brother with 13 other celebrities.

He struck up romances with ’90s girl group B*Witched singer Edele Lynch and The Hills and Made in Chelsea star Stephanie Pratt.

George came fourth in the contest and left on the final night after 26 days in the house.

Gogglebox dropped the family because of George’s newfound celebrity status, but the family said the electrician could not turn down Big Brother’s £100,000 pay packet.

A spokesman for the show told the Radio Times: “We are delighted to welcome back Linda, Pete and George to the Gogglebox fold and are very much looking forward to once again hearing their humorous take on telly’s weekly offerings.”
