Train cancellations due to fire alarm in station’s signal box
THE fire alarm at Colchester North train station’s signal box has been activated, causing disruption to all services.
The signal box has been evacuated and firefighters are at the scene trying to find out why it went off.
All services north of Marks Tey towards Colchester, Clacton, Ipswich and Norwich will be delayed or cancelled.
The Manningtree to Harwich line is also affected.
The disruption is expected to continue until about 4pm.
